There are exceptions to the consent requirement. For example, if the cookies are necessary for the website to operate properly. These are called functional cookies. There is also an exception for analytical cookies. For example, no permission is required to place analytical cookies, as long as those cookies are only used to count amount of visitors to the website. Analytical cookies are used to give insight into the functioning of the website.
This website only utilises the following functional cookie, for which no permission is required:
Polylang: The cookie is used for implementing the language options of the website and maintaining the user’s selected settings when the user is browsing the website. The operating time of the cookie is limited to 24 hours.
Utilising third-party services as part of the website
The survey featured on the ‘Participate in a survey’ page of the website utilises a survey service provided by a third party (Typeform). When participating in the survey, the user is directed to an external website, the data controller of which is Typeform. The service terms and cookie policies of this party can be found at https://admin.typeform.com/to/dwk6gt.

The City of Amsterdam Algorithm Register is developed and operated by Saidot Ltd. (VAT id FI29362646). All data is hosted in servers residing within EU.
